Yes — Golf Daddy is free to download on iPhone and Android. Scoring, the shared leaderboard, GPS yardages on UK courses and your Handicap Index are all included. Golf Daddy Pro adds 42,000+ global courses and AI-powered analysis.
Can I get a handicap without joining a club?
Yes. Golf Daddy builds a Handicap Index from the rounds you score in the app, using the best 8 of your last 20 — the same method the World Handicap System uses. It's ideal for society and social golf. If you need an official WHS handicap for competitions, you'll still want a club membership or a scheme like iGolf.
Does it work as a GPS rangefinder?
Yes. Golf Daddy shows front, middle and back yardages to the green from where you're standing, with 2,500+ UK courses mapped hole by hole. You can enter your score straight from the map screen.
What formats can we play?
Stroke play, Stableford, match play and Split 6s — in Individual, Four Ball, Scramble, Texas Scramble, Shamble and Chapman modes, over 9 or 18 holes.
Can I play with mates who don't have the app?
Yes — add them as guests and score on their behalf. If they download the app later they can claim their guest account and keep their history.
